As we come to the end of March – a difficult month across all sectors, we are determined to stay positive and review the deals and new instructions received. Despite the current climate and uncertainty in the market, Legat Owen are continuing to provide a wide range of services whilst working remotely from the office. This month, we completed the office investment sale of Evolution, St David’s Park, Ewloe. The property is 13,000 sq ft and let to 5 tenants generating an income in excess of £150,000.
March saw the the office refurbishment of 3 Priory Court at Preston Brook, J11 M56 progressing well! 10,000 sq ft Grade A offices with extensive parking available Spring 2020.
Our office department also received some new instructions, including to market Village Studio, Christleton for sale. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a superb studio style property, currently used as hair dressing salon, in the centre of Christleton, near Chester. The property would be suitable for a wide variety of uses to include continued use as salon, offices, retail etc.
March also saw the office team complete the sale of the office premises at 119 Station road, Ellesmere Port on behalf of ITS Testing Services (UK) Ltd to a private investor.
The industrial team also received new instructions, including the new build industrial units from 12,000 – 36,000 sq ft available to let/for sale at Spitfire Park, Cheshire Green, Wardle. The units are currently under construction with completion Autumn 2020.
This month it was also great to see Evans Halshaw now up and running in their new showroom on Sovereign Way, Chester following the sale on behalf of a private client to Pendragon PLC.
Our retail department completed the letting of the Former Northgate site, A41, Birkenhead to Enterprise Rent a Car on a new 20 year lease on behalf of our clients Redsun Developments Ltd.
Another deal which completed in March was the sale of 2 Regent Street, Wrexham – a recently refurbished 3,821 sq ft retail premises.
In our Nantwich office, they completed the sale of the last remaining plot of undeveloped land at Crewe Business Park, Crewe on behalf of the administrators for Pochins.
In addition, March saw another letting complete at Portal Business Park, Tarporley – Unit 5, a high specification office of 229 sq ft with car parking.
We are proud to have won some property awards in March! Legat Owen were ranked in 3 of the 5 categories for the North West and in the top 5 for Industrial in Wales in the 2019 Estates Gazette Deals Competition!
We have been chosen as winners at this year’s Costar Awards by Costar Group UK recognising our success in the Industrial & Investment markets. We have been awarded a top 5 place for Industrial Surveyors in Wales and Investment & Industrial Surveyors in the North West! Well done to the team on this great achievement!
Well done to our Director Andy Butler who completed the Bath Half Marathon this weekend! He finished with a time of 1:53:18 and raised an amazing £785 for Legat Owen’s chosen charity James Place.
This month, we also said goodbye to our retail surveyor Sandy Ratcliffe. We wish him all the best in his new adventure!
