Planning Application Submitted For Phase 1 Warehouse At Ma6nitude

DBS Pochin, the new joint venture partnership between DB Symmetry and Pochin’s Ltd, has submitted a planning application to build a 160,000 sq ft distribution facility at its flagship Northern Powerhouse logistics park, MA6NITUDE (formerly Midpoint 18).

With major distributors including B&M Bargains, Kuehne + Nagel, and Wincanton already serving the North West, Midlands and beyond from the M6 corridor site, the new warehouse would be the first addition to the development under the new JV.

The build, expected to be completed this autumn, is included in Phase 1 of DBS Pochin’s three-phased masterplan for MA6NITUDE, which is expected to deliver a further nine industrial and distribution facilities across 1,750,000 sq ft.

We view MA6NITUDE as the established location for industrial and distribution businesses looking to access and operate within the Northern Powerhouse, with key centres of trade such as Manchester Airport and the Atlantic Gateway less than an hour’s drive away.

We’ve already seen a great deal of positive interest in the new partnership, and we’re looking forward to contributing to the region’s plans for a £50billion economy by 2040.

As part of MA6NITUDE’s first phase of development, which also includes proposals for a 206,000 sq ft warehouse, work is nearing completion for a similar 92,000 sq ft facility to be occupied by Scottish Power.

We have an ambitious long-term plan for MA6NITUDE, and our strategy will attract leading businesses from, and to, the North West.

This proposal is the first step in that journey and, with major investments in the A556 and M6 smart motorway nearing completion, we’re excited about the road ahead.
