TOTAL ACQUIRES CREWE SITE FOR DEVELOPMENT

Acting on behalf of Total Developments, Legat Owen has completed the acquisition of the former For Farmers manufacturing and warehousing facility in Crewe.

The 2.84-acre site has been vacant since For Farmers consolidated its operations from Crewe to one of its facilities in Newcastle under Lyme late last year.

Total purchased the site off-market and has submitted detailed planning application for a four-unit scheme comprising two 10,000 sq ft units, one 20,000 sq ft unit and a 14,000 sq ft building. C4 Projects is acting as architect, planning consultant and project manager.

Speaking about the deal, Matt Pochin, director at Legat Owen, commented:

This site represents the only development plot currently available in Crewe which can immediately meet the demand from SMEs for high quality new build accommodation in the area.

Jonathon Beeson, director at Total Developments, continued:

We acquired this third site in Crewe building on the success of 55,000 sq ft Orion Park and 170,000 sq ft Apollo Park, both of which we acquired, built, let and sold. Demolition and site clearance should start in November with the units being available in the summer of 2021.
